Here is a list of businesses that help support the Ballarat Fish Hatchery.

Ballarat Anglers
In July 1899 eight anglers, the majority of them members of the Ballarat Fish Acclimatisation Society (or Ballarat Fish Hatchery), met at Reid’s Coffee Palace, Lydiard St. Nth., Ballarat with the resolve to form an Anglers’ Club to assist the Fish Hatchery with the distribution of trout into local waters.

Ballarat Flyfishers – (BFFC)
The Ballarat Fly Fishers Club is one of the oldest fly fishing clubs in Australia. The Club was formed by the late Victor Wastell at the Ballarat Mechanics Institute on August 27th 1919.

Lakeside Anglers
Lakeside Anglers Club INC is a fresh water and salt water fishing club open to everyone with emphasis on providing for families and juniors.

Fish care Victoria
Fishcare volunteers provide information, distribute educational material, offer assistance to recreational fishers, collect recreational fish catch data and visit schools and angling clubs. We also assist other natural resource related programs such as those run by the Department of Environment and Primary Industries (DEPI) and Catchment Management Authorities (CMAs). Fishcare also provide displays at shows and community events. Volunteers have no enforcement role whatsoever.

Walsh Quarries
Walsh Ballarat Quarries is a family run business that operate two quarries in the Ballarat region in Victoria. Dunnstown Quarry has been in operation for 29 years and Learmonth Quarry for 13 years. Both of our quarries produce aggregate and crushed rock material and other Quarry Products of the highest quality.
